Discipleship & EDUCATION Opportunities

At First Church, our purpose is to grow our faith to better care for our neighbors creating a more loving, Christ centered world.

We learn to follow Jesus by spending time together as God’s story becomes our story. That is why we offer a variety of classes, workshops, and small groups for every age level.

Children’s Ministry – Birth to Grade 5

Led by Tom Rapp and a team of trained teachers and leaders, we offer a variety of activities for children:
  • Children’s Sunday School (held on Sundays September-May during the school year)
  • Summer Vacation Bible School

Youth Ministry – Grade 6-12

Led by Raquell Bevans and a trained team of leaders, we offer a variety of opportunities for teens to grow closer to God:
  • Youth Group 
  • Confirmation Classes for students choosing to devote their lives to Christ
  • Summer and winter youth retreats, mission events, and lock-ins

Adult Discipleship

We offer a variety of opportunities to grow in faith and deepen our commitment to God:
  • Adult Sunday School Classes 
  • Bible Studies (held in the Fall and Spring on Tuesdays at 9am and 7pm)
  • Methodist Men – meets the 1st Wednesday at 6pm for social time, dinner, and guest speaker (September – May)
  • Susanna Wesley Circle - meets the Second Tuesday of the month (September-May) in the Mezzanine for devotions, programs, conversations, service projects, and refreshments. All ladies are welcome … bring a friend!)
